Smooth
motor covers
Here's something I've always
done to the dyno covers before plating or painting them...
I use a body grinder with a
16 disc to level it out ..(just enough to take away the emblem.. and circle..
BE CAREFUL not go through..) Then finish it with a DA and 80 grit... Also
.. if you're getting it plated .. the polisher can get the same results
with his belt sander .. for little .. or no extra cost..
Makes for a nice smooth surface
when you're done... I've engraved many of them after they were smoothed
as well .. like in the lower left corner of this pic ....
